Time to Celebrate!

Our school has achieved a remarkable milestone - eighteen years after it was first told it was outstanding by Ofsted (in 1997), the school has maintained its impressive record and has been awarded top honours once again!

Inspectors visited the school in February 2015 and judged it to be outstanding in every area.  This means that it has been one of the most successful schools in the country for nearly two decades.

We are thoroughly delighted with this report and everyone who works in the school feels incredibly proud of its success.  Our children and parents are a pleasure to work with and make the school what it is.  Pupils, staff, governors and parents have proved yet again what an exceptional team we are.

Everyone associated with Stocksbridge Juniors is thrilled that the inspectors were able to see exactly what makes the school so remarkable.  The report states that ‘Pupils are proud to be part of a school, which they describe as being ‘amazing’, ‘fun’, ‘friendly’, ‘caring’ and ‘loving’.’  It was also acknowledged that ‘Pupils’ polite, courteous and considerate behaviour ensures that everyone enjoys working in, and being part of, this harmonious community.’

The on-going dedication and ambition of an enthusiastic and highly skilled staff, alongside a lively, rich curriculum, ensures the sustainability of this recipe for success.  To summarise this outstanding report, Ofsted concluded that ‘The school has an unquestionable commitment to ensuring every pupil has an equal opportunity to succeed, resulting in outstanding academic achievement.’

I hope that you will share my pride in this wonderful accolade and agree that the report reflects the hard work and dedication of the staff, children, parents and governors at Stocksbridge Junior School consistently over time.

Thank you for your overwhelming support now and over the years.
