Bikeability at SJS

This year our Y6 children have had the opportunity to take part in some Bikeability cycle training. The course gives our young people the skills and confidence to cycle safely by learning and developing basic riding skills on the yard, then progressing onto the quiet roads around Stocksbridge. The cycling continued in some poor weather conditions so the children had to wrap up warm, but it did not dampen their spirits. All of the children said they really enjoyed the sessions and got lots of knowledge about cycling safely on the roads in addition to some good quality physical activity, riding up those Stocky hills. All the children were assessed during the course and will get a certificate and badge to celebrate their achievements. A big thank you to Zoe and Graham for their efforts and well done to all the children taking part.
