Y6 High Five Netball

On Wednesday 4th May, our Year 5/6 netball team represented the school in the Sheffield City High Five Netball competition. Despite the hot playing conditions, the team played some excellent netball, showing good skills in passing, shooting and teamwork. Perhaps more importantly than the standard of play was the standard of behaviour. The whole team played all their games with an exemplary attitude, not questioning any decision, not responding to any provocation – they all showed a perfect example of the behaviour associated with Stocksbridge Junior School. You did us and yourselves proud, well done!

We won one game and narrowly lost in two others after a heavy defeat in the first game which highlights the character and determination of our team. Congratulations and well done to Amelia, Charlotte, Luca, Catherine, Tom, Grace, Eleanor, Emmy, Evie and Sophie. Thank you also to those parents who braved the heat to come and support!
