As part of our Healthy Week, we have been taking part in some learning through food. George from Discovery Kitchen taught us all about food groups and how they affect the body and our health. Children had the opportunity to help cook the food dishes and learn all about the ingredients used to make a Peruvian dish, with chicken, coriander and spices and a Chinese fish dish with spinach, sweetcorn and broccoli, together with noodles. We then had some tasting sessions for the children to experience new tastes and foods and also make a Lava smoothie with mango, apple juice and strawberry. It was a fantastic day for the children and we thank George and Discovery Kitchen for her time and efforts.
