After a false start a few weeks ago, Race 1 of the new cross-country season took place this weekend at a very busy Concord Park. It was great to see so many young people out there competing and enjoying being active, and it was especially pleasing to see so many children from Stocksbridge Junior School. We had some first timers alongside some more seasoned cross-country runners representing our school and giving it their all. For the Y3/4 teams, Marcey (90th), Molly, Nathanial (41st), and mini Bullimore (72nd) had amazing runs. For the Y5/6 teams we had James B (46th), Max, Rudi (76th), Archie (101st), Heath (91st) and Charlie B (21st) for the boys and Ellie MM (6th), Kate (41st) and Addie (75th) for the girls all producing amazing results for the team.
The next race is Saturday 14th October at Bolehills, 9:30am meet for a 10:00am race start. Mr Tee will be available at the race, just look out for the Stocksbridge flag.
