In recent weeks, our children lower school had the opportunity to take part in a cycling workshop in partnership with Links School Sports Partnership. We were very grateful of Mr Malkin and his expertise in delivering such a programme and the support from British Cycling for the use of a range of bikes. It was great to see experienced cycling coaching and how they put on technical tasks to challenge the competent bike riders but also supported our children who are less confident. As always, our children demonstrated enthusiasm and respect for the workshops and made really good progress. It is really nice to see so many children taking part in the active travel by cycling to school and hopefully children will continue to ride their bikes with confidence and be safe when cycling out in the community. A massive thank you to Craig (Links SSP) and Abbie (British Cycling) for their cycling expertise and we look forward to further sessions later in the year in addition to our lunchtime cycling club that will be starting in the new year.
