Many of the healthy body and mind behaviours supplement the school curriculum, and incorporate different attributes that bolster the learning potential of children in core subjects and particularly as we take part in mock SATS week. From our research we know that increases in physical activity during the school day help children to focus and cope with the anxieties that they may face during their SATS exams. The school are working hard to support our Y6 children with this by mixing exams with fun physical activity sessions to allow them to be in the best shape, both physically and mentally to do the best they can do.
In addition to our healthy breakfast during SATS week, we will have ‘Brain Gym’ in the hall for all children to take part in to boost that brain power.
