We are delighted to have taken part in the Sheffield Schools Skipathon Week 2022 which had 78 schools and an incredible 25,400 children taking part across the city. The project is about fun physical activity with a motto of ‘fitness through fun for everyone’. The aim is to provide all children with a positive experience of skipping with Mr Tee delivering a fun skipping workshops during PE with the hope they will take what they have learnt home with them and continue to horn their skills with the family. I just wanted to say a massive well done to everyone for taking part and I look forward to seeing ‘figure of 8s’, ‘cross-overs’ and doubles being performed with success in the future. It has been a joy to see some wonderful videos on Seesaw already, so a big thank you for sharing those with us and if you would like to post further I have set up a Seesaw activity for everyone to show me your skipping, with a bonus if you can get the family involved too.

The Skipathon is going to be featured in the Sheffield Star this week, so keep your eyes peeled for the article and if you want further information you can go to #SheffieldSchoolsSkipathon on Twitter.
