Our athletics team after a very strong indoor season, were in action in the Y5/6 summer outdoor competition taking place a Woodbourne Road athletics stadium. We were in a very strong pool with some really high achieving schools but our Stocky team were not phased. We took part in sprint, middle distance, jumping and throwing events with great energy, commitment and pride in representing our amazing school.
Everyone did a great job and we are very pleased to announce that both the boys and girls relay teams made the City finals along with strong individual performances from Charlie (150m), Ellie (800m), Hayden (Walk), Katie (150m) who also will have the opportunity to race against the best athletes in the City. Well done everyone and we look forward to City finals on Monday 26th June, again at Woodbourne Road Athletics Stadium (4.30pm start).
