This Y5 basketball team have had 3 full terms of practice in our after school club so we went into the competition full of confidence. Eight of the top schools in Sheffield were attending all of whom had already qualified from their partnership finals. The standard was extremely high which is fantastic to see and really gave team Stocky a challenge. We did not make the final but the team grew in confidence as the competition unfolded saving the best until last with a dramatic 7-6 win over Marcliffe and an amazing last second winner from Ella to give us the victory. We finished on a real high with the player of the competition for me being Lily for her energetic play and enthusiasm. Well don team!
